ROGER KIRK
President & CEO

Roger Kirk is the founder and CEO of Computer Guidance Corporation, a recognized leader and pioneer in integrated construction management software solutions.

Mr. Kirk founded Computer Guidance Corporation in 1981. Since that time, the company has grown with offices throughout North America including Canada. Computer Guidance Corporation's consistently has the largest representation of top 400 revenue-grossing construction companies in the United States and Canada. Among the many awards and recognitions for its Job Cost/Accounting and Payroll solution (Construction Management System), Computer Guidance has been ranked as the number one solution in the Construction Financial Management Association's Computerization Survey for twelve consecutive years.

Today, in addition to its Construction Management System, Computer Guidance offers a variety of software application packages from web-based project management, bid solicitation to complete field-to-home office collaboration.

Prior to founding Computer Guidance Corporation, Roger was president of a successful custom software development company. He used the knowledge and experience gained in providing custom developed systems in manufacturing and construction as the catalyst for forming Computer Guidance Corporation.

Sales and Marketing

 

WILLIAM J. CRAIG, CPA
Director of Sales

Bill Craig has been the Director of Sales at Computer Guidance Corporation (CGC) since December 2005. Bill brings over 20 years of extensive software sales, public and private accounting, job cost and project management experience to Computer Guidance. Bill served 4 years in public accounting, was division manager of accounting services for a major utility, and was Vice President of Financial Service Sales for a major software company. Bill has a degree in Accounting/Economics from the College of Holy Cross, earned his CPA license in Massachusetts, and is a member of the CFMA and AGC.


 

KEVIN BASSO
Marketing Manager

Kevin is responsible for leading the development, execution and monitoring of Computer Guidance’s marketing efforts and communications. Kevin oversees the advertising, trade shows, annual customer conference, direct mail, lead generation, customer communication and the website. Prior to joining Computer Guidance, Kevin served as Marketing Manager with ePropertyTax, a Scottsdale, AZ based tax software service provider. Kevin was an integral part of a successful marketing strategy that led to several Fortune 500 clients. Kevin’s strong background in technology and marketing communications was developed while working in the Silicon Valley. There, Kevin developed marketing and IT related strategies that lead to the tremendous growth of one of the nations most successful and respected distributors, Purcell Murray Company. Kevin has a degree in Marketing from Concordia University.

Professional Services

 

GARY L. RUNQUIST, CPA
Professional Services Manager

Gary Runquist is responsible for the Professional Services department. Gary has been working as a construction financial consultant for the last 11 years. Gary has worked with a wide variety of Computer Guidance customers providing services from Software Implementation to Functional Reviews. Prior to arriving at Computer Guidance, Gary worked for 6 years as a controller for a large general contractor. He has a degree in accounting from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and earned his CPA license in Wisconsin.

Development

 

KURT BENNETT
Director of Software Development

Kurt Bennett is the Director of Software Development of Computer Guidance Corporation. In that capacity Kurt directs the activities for Project Management, Software Development and Software Support. Kurt brings 30 years of software development and project management experience to Computer Guidance. Kurt has been with Computer Guidance since February 2001. His software development and management background includes construction, manufacturing, financial, hosted applications, and warehouse/distribution systems running on many different platforms. Prior to coming to Computer Guidance, Kurt worked for a Fortune 500 Company, managing multiple systems throughout the U.S. and Canada, providing IT Services for 1500 users, as well as developing Sales Force Automation tools for a sales force of 125 people.

Application and Technical Support

 

JAMES CARROLL, CPA
Application Support Supervisor

James has been the Application Support Supervisor at Computer Guidance since May 2008.  He has previously managed the department from 1999 to 2002.  James directs the Application Software Support department by providing application problem solving to customers and serving as a liaison between the customer base and other Computer Guidance departments.  James is a CPA with over 24 years of accounting experience, with twelve of those years working for Computer Guidance.  His mix of experience at Computer Guidance, along with his tenured staff, gives customers the competitive edge to make them more successful.


 

DEB CANNING
Technical Support Manager

Deb is responsible for leading the Technical Support team, as well as our internal IT efforts. Deb oversees the installation of hardware and software for our clients, our technical support helpdesk and network support team. Prior to joining Computer Guidance, Deb served as a Network Manager with CGI-AMS, an outsourcing, systems integration and consulting firm based in Connecticut. Deb managed the day to day planning, coordination and service delivery of global network services for a Fortune 500 client. Prior to that Deb was the Manager of Network Engineeringfor Praxair, the largest industrial gases company in North and South America. Deb’s extensive technical background includes data and voice engineering, multi-site LAN/WAN design, hardware support and problem management.  Deb has a degree in communications and business from the College of Mt. St. Vincent.

Human Resources / Financial

 

NANCY BLACKBURN, SPHR
Human Resources Director

Nancy Blackburn has been the Human Resources Director at Computer Guidance Corporation (CGC) since April 2006. Under her guidance, CGC has undertaken numerous initiatives to provide a first rate environment and culture for the employees at Computer Guidance.    Nancy brings to CGC an extensive background in HR management, Operations Management and Organizational Development.  She has over 25 years experience in the legal field, most of it in an HR management capacity at the State Attorney General’s Office, serving 4 Attorneys General.  Prior to coming to CGC, Nancy was the HR Manager for 7 years at a Fortune 500 Company.  She has earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification.


 

MITCHELL GENS, CPA
Corporate Controller

As the senior financial executive of Computer Guidance Corporation, Mitch has responsibility for all financial operations of the company including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, tax preparation, audits, and overseeing the accounting department. Mitch brings over 17 years of experience serving in senior financial positions in the technology, real estate development, and corporate finance industries. Mitch served as the Chief Financial Officer for a home building company. He was also the CFO of the largest independent Search Engine Marketing Agency in the nation where he was responsible for working with investment banks, venture capital firms, and private equity investors. Mitch formerly served as the Corporate Controller for a publicly traded technology firm where he was responsible for all SEC filings of the company. Mitch earned his CPA license after graduating from Arizona State University and is a member of the Arizona Society of CPAs.
